Coaching creates an environment that allows you time to think for yourself, somewhere you will not be judged or told what to do. The emphasis is on listening to what you say and asking questions so that you begin to look at life in a different way and to recognise that some of those long-held beliefs about yourself may not be accurate. This helps you to recognise habits and behaviours that are no longer serving you well.
One to one
If you think coaching might be something of interest to you, you can book a free half-hour session to identify your needs and how we can work towards your objectives. After the initial consultation, you’ll come to us for three or six 90-minute sessions over an agreed period of time, normally around six months.
One to one coaching is beneficial for almost anyone, but we particularly work with women who want to change career, set up their own business, those who need help with confidence or self-esteem, and women who feel they have either been overlooked for promotion or have been promoted and need help working at the next level.
Sometimes, for whatever reason, teams of people in the workplace do not quite ‘gel’, perform or deliver. It could be personality, performance or issue-based but whatever is behind the ineffective nature of a team, it means that the business’ bottom line will suffer, as will morale, and both have implications for the firm’s wider organisational goals. Whatever the issues, we will be able to identify them, and we will be able to work with any team, whatever their status or company role, to improve performance and morale, and to find a resolution to the underlying problem.
At MindFit we work with teams who have been identified by their employers as being in need of support, coaching and development. We work to identify the challenges the team is facing, what their common goals are, and help to define what would make them more effective. Of course, communication is often one of the most common challenges, as are ongoing and unhelpful habits within any team. However, our investigations and team development programme are bespoke in every instance, tailored to suit personalities, job roles, expectations, objectives and sector. No business is the same and no team will find a generic solution the most effective.
The number of sessions we will provide for team coaching is dependent on the reasons behind the booking. Usually, as a starting point, we will recommend a package of three sessions with a review at the end. To establish that the coaching and team development programme will be effective, it is essential for all parties to agree on what the desired outcomes are at the beginning of the sessions. Ensuring ownership of the objectives, as well as the issues and challenges identified by the team itself is vital. All involved need to consider what they would need to happen to feel the coaching had been successful.
